Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 May 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using CvNeat ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
CvNeat is a web-based CV (résumé) builder designed for European job markets. The Service lets you create, edit, and export CVs as PDFs from country-specific templates. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 14 years old to use CvNeat (the minimum age for valid consent under Spanish law, Art. 7 LOPDGDD 3/2018). If you are under 18, you must have your legal guardian's permission to enter into a paid subscription.
- One account per person. Do not share login credentials.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account.
- You must provide accurate contact information (email) so that we can reach you about your account, billing, and material changes to these Terms.
4. Free trial and free tier
You can sign up for free, build CVs, and preview them in the editor without providing a payment method. A paid subscription is required to download finished PDFs and to unlock the full feature set described on the pricing page.
5. Subscription and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Current plans are:
- Monthly - €14.99 / month
- Quarterly - €29.97 every 3 months
- Annual - €83.88 / year
Prices are shown inclusive of any applicable VAT. CvNeat is operated by an individual under the Spanish small-business VAT exemption regime and currently does not charge VAT separately; this may change in the future. The binding price is always the one displayed on the pricing page inside the app at the moment of purchase.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
6. Right of withdrawal and refunds
As a consumer in the EU you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By starting to use the paid features (for example, downloading a PDF) before the 14 days are over, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once it has been fully performed, in accordance with Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
We do not offer automatic refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at privacy@cvneat.com and we will review your case in good faith and in accordance with EU consumer protection law.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to upload illegal content.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in a CV.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise automate access to the Service.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service or its templates.
- Probe, attack, or attempt to circumvent the security of the Service.
- Use the Service to generate spam, harassment, or content that infringes intellectual property rights.
8. Intellectual property
You own the content of your CVs. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and render your content solely to provide the Service to you.
We own the CvNeat platform, including all templates, design, code, and trademarks. Templates are licensed to you for personal use in your own CVs. You may not extract, republish, or distribute templates as standalone assets.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is final and erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Any active subscription will be cancelled at the same time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your account is used fraudulently, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonably possible we will notify you first.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Service, its fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. CvNeat does not guarantee that using a CV produced with the Service will result in a job interview or job offer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount of fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or lost-profit damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including, for consumers in the EU, statutory rights and liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct).
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country in which you are habitually resident, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of that country. Otherwise, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Spain.
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will email registered users at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
